There are different ways to make salad.T his is a step-by-step recipe for making a classic Caesar salad.

Classic Caesar Salad


  • 1 head of romaine lettuce

  • 1/2 cup of croutons

  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

  • Caesar dressing

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: grilled chicken or shrimp for a protein boost


  1. Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly. You can use a salad spinner or pat it dry with paper towels.

  2. Tear or chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

  3. Add the croutons to the bowl with the lettuce.

  4. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the lettuce and croutons.

  5. If desired, add grilled chicken or shrimp to the salad for a protein option.

  6. Season the salad with a pinch of salt and a few twists of black pepper.

  7. Drizzle Caesar dressing over the salad. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.

  8. Toss the salad to coat all the ingredients with the dressing evenly. You can use salad tongs or two large forks to mix it.

  9. Serve the classic Caesar salad immediately and enjoy!
