How to Make the Perfect Pumpkin Pie for Your Next Holiday Gathering

Making a classic pumpkin pie along with an approximate calorie count. Keep in mind that the calorie count may vary based on specific ingredients and serving sizes.


Ingredients:


For the Pie Filling:

  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough comes together.

  1. Form a Disk:

  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a disk. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  1. Roll Out the Dough:

  • Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface and transfer it to a pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges.

For the Pie Filling:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  1. Mix Pumpkin Filling:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
